Example deployment: a facilities contractor across three sites

This is an example deployment scenario, written to show how RevoNet could be used. It is not a named customer and it does not report a specific customer's results.

Picture a facilities contractor running a three-site commercial contract. The CAFM system tracks work orders well, but nobody can see where an engineer is once they leave the helpdesk's line of sight. Radios exist at one site but not the other two, and engineers use their own mobiles for anything urgent. Here is how RevoNet could help.

How the rollout could work

The contractor would start on the largest site. One group would cover that site's engineering team, and the CAFM system would stay exactly as it is for work orders. The duty manager would use the control room from a tablet, so they could reassign jobs without going back to the office.

After the first month

With voice and a map in one place, the helpdesk could see who was closest to an urgent job and speak to them straight away. Engineers would stop having to rely on personal mobiles, and the duty manager would spend less time driving between buildings to reassign work in person.

Extending to the other two sites

Once the first site was comfortable, adding the other two would be a matter of new groups and new users. The same structure would work at all three sites, and the duty manager would be able to see and talk to everyone from one screen.

What they might do differently

Agree at the start how work order numbers will be entered in RevoNet jobs, so that the two records always line up. Set up all three groups on day one, even if only one site is live.

Where it could lead

One radio network and one control screen across every site, with the CAFM system carrying on doing what it does best.
