A CAFM system does a good job of tracking work orders. What it does not tell you is where your engineers are right now, or how to reach the one who is nearest. That is where RevoNet fits.
What a CAFM system leaves out
Once an engineer walks out of the helpdesk's line of sight, the work order says the job is assigned, but nothing shows where they are or whether they can pick up something urgent. The result is phone calls to mobiles, and a helpdesk that spends its time finding people instead of sending them.
Voice and a map, alongside your CAFM
RevoNet runs next to your CAFM system and does not replace it. Your work orders stay exactly where they are. RevoNet adds a radio network for your engineers, and a map showing where each was last seen, so the helpdesk or duty manager can see who is closest and speak to them straight away.
Setting up a job without doing the work twice
When something urgent comes in, set up a job in RevoNet, assign it to the nearest engineer and talk them through it. Put the work order number in the job title so the two records line up. The job keeps its own timeline, so you can see when it was assigned and closed without opening anything else.
Setting it up by site or contract
Give each site or contract its own group, so engineers only hear what matters to them. Duty managers can join several groups. A new contract is just a new group and a few new users.
Common questions
Do we have to change our CAFM system? No. RevoNet works alongside whatever you use for work orders and asset records.
Should we have a group per building or per contract? Whichever matches how your team really splits up. Most teams start with one group per site or contract and add more as needed.
Can a duty manager reassign a job from a tablet? Yes. The control room works in a web browser on a desktop, laptop or tablet, so a duty manager can reassign a job during a walk round.
Is this only for large teams? No. A supervisor and one engineer on a single site is a perfectly good place to start.
