RevoNet

FAQ

Before you put it on a live shift

Pricing, hardware, tenants, and the stuff procurement will ask about.

What is Push-To-Talk over IP?
Group voice over mobile data or Wi-Fi instead of a dedicated radio network. On RevoNet you also get a web dashboard with a live map, talkgroup status, and jobs. Think radio discipline without the hire invoice.
Who is RevoNet for?
Anyone running field staff who need to hear each other and be found on a map. We see councils, security contractors, FM teams, event stewards, and volunteer SAR groups. If you are still coordinating shifts through personal mobiles, you are probably in the right place.
Can I try RevoNet before paying?
Yes. Sign up free with up to two users. That is the full product, not a trimmed demo. Run a real shift with PTT, the map, and incidents before you add anyone else.
How does pricing work?
Free covers two users. Pro keeps the first two free and charges £6.99 per additional user per month. Enterprise is a dedicated server instance if you need one. Full breakdown on the pricing page.
Do I need dedicated radio hardware?
Not to start. Phones and the web client work fine for pilots. When you want proper PoC handsets, pair them through the admin console. No shared logins.
How is my organisation's data kept separate?
Each customer is its own tenant. Your users, talkgroups, incidents, devices, and logs do not mix with anyone else's. Your admins only see your data.
What does the live map show?
Where your people were last seen and whether they are online. Stale means the GPS fix is old, often because someone is indoors or out of coverage. It is a prompt to call, not proof of skiving.
Can managers use a tablet in the field?
Yes. The dashboard works on desktop, laptop, and tablet. Plenty of supervisors run a shift from a tablet at the gate rather than driving back to the office.
What is recorded in the audit log?
Admin actions and job changes your tenant cares about for accountability. Not a recording of every spoken word on PTT. Tenant admins can review it in the admin area.
How do I pair a radio or device to a user?
Admin approves the device, the user signs in once on that hardware, and you are done. If a handset goes missing, unassign it without resetting passwords for the whole team.
Where is RevoNet hosted?
UK-focused infrastructure with SSL at the edge. Enterprise customers can ask for a dedicated instance if that matters for procurement.
How do I get help or request a demo?
Use the contact form or email [email protected]. If you just want to try it, register at app.revonet.co.uk and put two people on a shift this week.
