Example deployment: a council parks team on one voice and job screen
How a council parks team could replace phone calls and a whiteboard with one radio network and one job screen.
This is an example deployment scenario, written to show how RevoNet could be used. It is not a named customer and it does not report a specific customer's results.
Picture a council parks team that coordinates by phone and whiteboard. Supervisors take calls, ring round to find a free crew, and track jobs on a board in the depot. Radios are hired each year, and the cost does not follow the seasons. Here is how RevoNet could change that.
How the rollout could work
The team would begin with one supervisor and one crew, trying voice, the map and jobs on a single route. Groups would be set up for each depot, with one shared group for times when more than one depot needs to work together.
Because RevoNet works on the Android phones staff already carry, there would be nothing to buy before that first test.
After the first few weeks
With the map in front of them, supervisors could see which crew was closest and send them, instead of ringing round. Jobs would carry their own timeline, so when a resident or a councillor asked about a job, the answer would be on screen.
Two crews turning up at the same site would become much less likely, because everyone could see which jobs were already assigned.
Getting more from it
Once the first crew is comfortable, the team could add more crews and depots, and take on extra users during the busy season without signing up to more hire. In quieter months, they would simply remove users again.
What they might do differently
Set up the groups before the first day, agree a short list of who can reassign jobs, and spend ten minutes at the start of a shift showing everyone the map. A little preparation goes a long way.
Where it could lead
A team that starts on one route can grow to cover the whole borough, with one control screen and one radio network for every depot.
